VISIT OUR NEW SHOP IN ASHFORD, CO WICKLOW.

For years I dreamt of a space where I could be creative and inspired by the wonderful yarns and fibers that are being created across the globe. A space away from the bussle of everyday life, where the endless possibilities of colour and texture could be explored. From this dream, The Yarn Room was born. Step in and be inspired.

The Yarn Room is now a place that everyone can visit. Our new shop in Ashford Village, Co. Wicklow is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10am to 5:30 pm and on Saturdays from 10am to 6pm. The Yarn Room will be offering a wide range of classes in Knitting, Crochet, Wet Felting, Needle Felting, Tunisian Crochet and other yarn crafts.

We are also now running our own Thursday Night Knit Club. The shop will be open from 6 - 9pm for chat, knitting and refreshments. Come and join us - everyone is welcome. The Club will resume on the 14th of January 2010.

We are no longer attending the Farmers Market in the People's Park in Dun Laoghaire on Sundays. Myself and Maria really enjoyed our Sundays there and we met so many great knitters and felters. We hope that you will all be able to visit the shop in Ashford.

The Schedule for classes is now available for booking online. Classes include Start Knitting, Improve your knitting, Learn to knit socks, Crochet , Crochet Flowers, Tunisian Crochet, Parents and Children Learn to Knit Together, Learn to Felt with Soap and Water and Needle Felt Fish. .

Our knitters are inspired by Lett Lopi and Alafoss Lopi. Lett Lopi is softer and lighter than Alafoss Lopi but retains the same wonderful warm soft feel. We have just added Laceweight Einband Lopi and Plotulopi to our growing collection. You will also find the full range of Lopi Pattern Books in our pattern section.
